This Tuesday evening, the few local thunderstorms will subside, cumulus clouds will clear, and temperatures will remain quite warm until the middle of the night. Calm, dry weather with a starry night.
On Wednesday, the weather will be generally dry and stable with plenty of sunshine and very few clouds. Only a few cumulus clouds will form over the mountains, with a rare and very low risk of thunderstorms in the mountains only. It will be extremely hot despite the continued presence of the bise wind.
Forecast temperatures in the Rhône Valley: lows 16 to 20°, highs 34 to 35°. At stations around 1,500 m: lows 14 to 16°, highs 27 to 29°. On the peaks: 16/24° at 2,000 m, 8/14° at 3,000 m. 0° isotherm: 4,300 m.

Next few days in Valais
Thursday will be another scorching day with extreme heat. Few or no clouds, with cumulus clouds forming over the mountains during the day. Few thunderstorms in the mountains. Highs of 34 to 35 degrees in the lowlands, 30 degrees at 1,000 meters, and 28 degrees at 1,500 meters.
Friday will bring sweltering heat, with temperatures ranging from 34 to 36 degrees or even higher, and mostly sunny skies except for some developing cumulus clouds over the mountains. There will still be a low risk of scattered thunderstorms, limited to the highest Alpine ranges only.
On Saturday and Sunday, the weather will remain sunny and very hot, with highs of 35 to 37 degrees in the plains and 30 to 32 degrees at around 1,000 meters in elevation. Thunderstorm activity will become more noticeable as the days go by, with more frequent thunderstorms, though they will still be largely confined to the mountains.
A period of exceptionally intense heat with an increasingly worrying water shortage.
This spell of exceptional heat is expected to end early next week, with more widespread and/or severe thunderstorms. Temperatures will drop.
