Forecasts Valais
Showers are expected to continue until late evening, with significant cloud cover. However, the showers will become more sporadic as the hours pass, leading to increasingly dry conditions overnight. The snow line in the mountains will be around 1800 m.
On Friday, the weather will improve, but cloud formations will quickly develop in the morning and spread across the surrounding mountains. Isolated drops or showers are possible in the mountains, with the snow line between 1800 and 2000 m. In the plains, the sun will remain quite generous. It will be cool for the season.
Expected temperatures in the Rhône plain: lows of 7 to 8°C, highs of 16 to 19°C. In resorts around 1500m: lows of 1 to 2°C, highs of 8 to 10°C. On the summits: -1/5°C at 2000m, -8/-3°C at 3000m. The 0°C isotherm will be at 2200 m.
A moderate breeze will blow during the day in the Rhône plain. A noticeable north-westerly wind will be present in the high mountains.

Next few days in Valais
Saturday will see generally sunny conditions in the lowlands. In the mountains, clouds will quickly form in the morning and may become quite widespread in the afternoon, but are not expected to bring any precipitation. Highs will range from 19 to 21°C, dropping to 11°C at 1500m.
On Sunday, a weakened warm front will pass through, bringing numerous high and mid-level clouds that could significantly reduce sunshine, possibly leading to an often cloudy sky. Isolated drops of rain are not ruled out in the afternoon. Highs will be between 19 and 21°C, and 14°C at 1500m.
From Monday to Wednesday, and possibly even Thursday, a weakened westerly flow will bring changeable skies, alternating between cloudy periods and clear spells. Central Valais will see more sunshine. Scattered showers are possible, mainly in the mountains. Maximum temperatures will be around 21 to 24°C, and 12 to 15°C at 1500m.
Starting Friday, May 30th, and likely for several days, a stable anticyclonic period will set in, bringing a gradual rise in temperatures with highs potentially well exceeding 25°C by early June.
